This privacy policy explains what information Baby Trump & Friends Daily Drop ("we", "us", "the site") collects from visitors, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. What We Collect
We collect two categories of information:
- Information you provide. If you sign up for the daily email, we store the name and email address you submit. That's it — no phone number, no address, no payment information.
- Information collected automatically. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, referring page, timestamps) are recorded by our hosting provider for security and abuse-prevention purposes. Third-party services embedded on the site (see below) set their own cookies and may collect their own analytics data subject to their respective policies.
How We Use Your Information
- To send the daily newsletter you signed up for, including the day's featured video.
- To prevent spam and abuse (e.g., honeypot fields, rate limits).
- To measure aggregate site performance.
We don't sell your data, rent it, or share it with third parties for marketing. We don't run behavioral profiles or build advertising audiences from your activity on this site.
Third-Party Services
The site uses several third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Netlify — hosts the site, runs the serverless functions, and stores subscriber records. Netlify privacy.
- Resend — delivers the daily email. They see your name and email address strictly to send the email. Resend privacy.
- YouTube — we embed videos using YouTube's official iframe player. When a video loads, your browser communicates with YouTube directly and YouTube may set cookies according to its own policy. Google/YouTube privacy.
- Google AdSense — we use AdSense to serve ads. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Ads Settings. More on Google ads.
- Google Fonts — the site loads typefaces from Google's CDN. Google logs the requests as part of normal CDN operation.
Cookies and Local Storage
We use localStorage on your device to remember a few things: whether you've dismissed the email signup popup, your cached video feed (to avoid re-querying YouTube on every page load), and your viewed-in-this-session list (for recommendations). This data stays on your device and isn't transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Third-party scripts (Google AdSense, YouTube embeds) may set their own cookies subject to the policies linked above.
Your Rights
- Unsubscribe. Every newsletter email includes an option to stop. If ignoring the emails is more your style, our system stops sending after several unopened messages.
- Deletion. Email hello@baby-trump.com from your subscribed address and we'll remove your record from our database.
- Access & correction. Same address — we'll send you what we have or update it.
- Cookies. Use your browser settings to block or clear cookies and localStorage at any time.
Children
This site contains political satire and is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted at the top of the page with a new "Last updated" date.
