About the Daily Drop
Baby Trump & Friends Daily is a curation site for AI-generated political satire featuring the "Baby Trump" genre — short-form videos that depict real-world political figures as toddlers, generated using modern AI animation tools. We watch a lot of YouTube so you don't have to, then surface the day's best picks in one place.
Our Editorial Standards
Not every video labeled "Baby Trump" makes it to the feed. We apply a strict character filter (the video has to actually feature a baby-style Trump character, not just any Trump cartoon) and rank candidates by a mix of view count, like ratio, recency, and creator consistency. The featured "Top Drop" on the homepage rotates daily through the top ten candidates so you see a different pick each day, deterministically tied to the date.
We deliberately steer toward videos that play with the form — clever framing, sharp timing, recurring side characters — and away from content that veers into genuine harassment, dehumanization, or violence. Satire works when it punches at the absurdity of power; it stops working when it punches at people.
How Curation Works
Behind the scenes, our system queries the YouTube Data API across several Baby-Trump-specific search phrases multiple times a day. Results are deduplicated, statistics are pulled, and a regex filter removes any candidate whose title or description doesn't actually mention the Baby Trump character. What's left is ranked and cached for six hours, so a quick reload won't burn quota and you see a consistent feed all day.
The daily email goes out at 8 AM Eastern (13:00 UTC) to anyone signed up. It includes the day's featured video, a high-resolution thumbnail, the channel, the description, and a direct link both to YouTube and to the on-site detail page.
What This Site Doesn't Do
We don't produce, host, or modify any of the videos featured. Every clip on the site is embedded via YouTube's official iframe player — that means the original creators get every view, every like, and every cent of YouTube revenue. Click through, subscribe to the channels you enjoy, leave comments. The genre exists because independent creators are doing the work; we're a discovery layer, not a competitor.
